On UFOEt's main page it still announces.............

'UFO2Extraterrestrials: Shadows over Earth
Currently under development simultaneously with UFO2Extraterrestrials: Battle for Mercury'

So how is Shadows over Earth going Jessie? Will it also be completed in the first quarter of this year? :?

Don't want to make another thread so i write it here. What is the point to make two almost the same games simultaneously ? Most people like to play on earth anyway and on mercury there is no water (no naval) and one and the same landscape would be boring. Of course it could be far in the future and mars terraformed but still old good earth is the best. Beside is someone buy one game it's highly unlikely that he will buy the other one. It's should be only Ufo2:SoE + expansion in the future.

Hi JeyPH,

I started this thread in order to make that comment because once again our omnipotent game creators made a statement years ago which very shortly afterwards became defunct but they never could be bothered to delete from their homepage. There is no second game in production.

Battle For Mercury is the one they're attempting to make now. Shadows Over Earth was scrapped something like 5 years ago. It was resurrected only briefly as a possible project for completion after all but they never bothered to tell us they again scrapped that idea, which is why it's still listed as ongoing. The trick with this company is to never believe anything they say and then you wont get disappointed.

But the latest screenshots are from naval base i know that the game dont' have to be accurate or based on real world and laws but Mercury is firs planet from the Sun and there are large variations in temperature it's hard to believe that the planet have water. Oh well Aliens could always mess around with the Sun, Earth freeze completely so we fighting for only one good place in solar system to inhabit for humans. No matter the story i prefer Shadow over Earth more.
