Its legit question, cuz Xenonauts 2 comming out next month and if this game comes out soon he might not invest his time in that but rather buy this game instead.
However the game is 100% dead.
There was a few attempts to gauge the popularity of the game, but only a handfull of ppl is not enough for anyone to invest developing a game that has to beat its original version which is already very good.
Some of us did what we can. I boughtsome copies for my frienda, some to a streamer so he would play it, and mentioned on lots of releated videos, but none really cared, because when they did a google search they saw no videos atreams or articles about thats less then 5 years old, and the only thing that is recent is this page which is a nice tomb for this once great game.
I had my time with it on its glory days and cherrish it to this day.
We have the ability to rercreate that once was, perhaps it happens in the future, but until that this game is dead.

Man, it would be a shame if that's it and we're never going to get this game. I'm still optimistic though because I know game development can sometimes stall and take longer than expected.

C'mon Csatrad, do not be such a doom-monger. Show must go on.
Anyway, thank you for promoting UFO2:ET and buying UFO:ET.

It would be nice to get an update on development.

I mean...even the kind that's not promising, but is still informative...

"Jimmy's turtle died and he can't seem to get motivated to work on the game anymore. He's still trying though!"

"Jimmy almost had a workable beta released, but Russian spies trashed all his storage."

"Jimmy met this girl Ellen who has really been bad for Jimmy's developmental focus on the game. Ellen recently left Jimmy for a guy named Tim, and although Jimmy's been a bit depressed, he's shown renewed interest in UFO2ET"

"Jimmy has been playing a lot of 7D2D and Interstellar Space Genesis and can't be bothered to move forward with UFO2ET for a bit longer."

"We had to change the game's engine from Unity 1.23ag to Unity 1.28bb which broke every bit of coding ever done in the game. When we got it all fixed, Unity 1.29rx came out and well......"

(You get the idea....we're all just curious at this point)
